Patrick Demmons is the owner/photographer behind Revival Tintype Studio. His interest and passion for photography began at a very young age, when his godmother gave him a Pentax Spotmatic which she had used during her time in the Peace Corps. After furthering his photographic education at San Joaquin Delta College, Rochester Institute of Technology and San Francisco State University, Patrick put his cameras down and joined the US Army in 2004.
In 2012 he returned to Oakland with his wife Alessandra, bought a house and season tickets to the Oakland A's, and rekindled his love for taking pictures. Frustrated with the disposable and intangible nature of digital photography, Patrick started looking backwards, and fell in love with historical processes, including Wet-plate Collodion, or Tintype photography.
